So you need a student loan consolidation type of loan but you are unsure if you quality? If you have a credit rating of more than 650, you will automatically be entitled even for private lenders and chances are you would get the lowest individual rate possible. According to the Federal Family Education Loan Program otherwise known as the FFELP, every lender is obligated to have the same rate offering, although your personal rate is different from this. A personal rate is dependent on your over all credit rating and on the average rate of all your outstanding loan balances.
