As the price of gold is soaring to new record highs, some investors are being priced out of the market. Instead of buying gold and silver coins are becoming more attractive due to their affordability and the returns they are generating.
The most popular and efficient way to own silver coins is to buy silver bullion coins. The American Silver Eagle and Canadian Silver Maple Leaf are among the more popular silver coins and enjoy the full backing of the issuing governments over the coins weight and silver purity. This makes the silver bullion coins highly liquid.
While most people pay attention to the rising price of gold, it should not be forgotten that silver has gone up by nearly 300 percent over the last ten years, making it a sound investment.

There are several reasons why investors might want to start taking a second look at domestic equities. Along with Morningstar reporting that the largest outflow of funds has been taken out of equity funds, there is a host of positive results out of US companies recently. In addition, mergers and acquisition activity is really starting to pick up, providing something of a reassurance that companies are not only generating cash and seeing renewed revenue growth, but are optimistic about what the future holds not only for them and their competitors, but the economy as a whole. The days of bad news are coming to an end.

I have been a precious metals investor for over 10 years now, but my holdings were mostly in gold and silver. As I was placing another order with Northwest Territorial Mint, I had asked about other precious metals. The saleswoman suggested that I take a look at the palladium section of their website, specifically the palladium bars that they have available.
On the side of their website was a link with more information about palladium. I was surprised to learn that it has so many everyday uses and industrial applications that should ensure robust demand into the future. Sometimes, you can get caught up in one thing, and that is why I wanted to add something to complement my gold and silver holdings. Palladium is even more rare than gold, so it is definitely attractive to me.

Every now and again a company comes along that redefines what it means to deliver good service. One such company is Northwest territorial mint, based in Washington state.
Northwest territorial mint was formed in the early nineteen eighties by Ross Hansen. Ross has always had an insatiable desire for perfection and in the bullion retail market he has managed to bring together a seamless experience for his clients when they order precious metals. One of the key factors that separates the men from the boys in the bullion market is the ability for the company to service its clients and keep them happy. Thats half the battle, and the rest is actually delivering the goods. This they do very well.

FOREX is primarily traded between central banks, commercial banks, non-banking International Corporation, hedge funds, private investors and speculators. Previously small investors were unable to trade in the foreign exchange market due to the large deposit required. However until recent years, with the continuing growth of the internet and competition, small investors can now open a FOREX account with as little as $250. There are a few factors as to why FOREX is starting to attract more small investors. For one, FOREX can be traded 24 hours a day 5 days a week. Previously trades were placed by phone, the internet has made it possible for traders to monitor their accounts from home and execute trades in real time with the click of a mouse button.

As silver recently reached a 30-year high, I heard from some analysts that this may be the high, and we could expect silver prices to retreat again as investors were mainly taking profits. Could this bull market run out of steam, or are we just getting started?
I am of the belief that we may be somewhere in the middle. The fact of the matter is that silver has been rising at a steady rate for the past decade, and has only recently accelerated in this trend recently over fears of a falling US dollar.
Recent news regarding the economy is pretty much the same as it has been. We’re stuck, and really not moving forward yet at the rates we need to. In this case we are likely to continue to see investors snatch up gold and silver as hedges against the struggling US dollar.

My husband is a big fox news fan. He watches their programs every day. I guess that is ok, since we are both retired and have little else to do. However, there was one commercial I saw that made me take action the other day. It was a commercial for Northwest Territorial Mint about buying gold and silver as an investment. Since we are both on fixed incomes, we have to be careful with our investments. But we have a little extra money to spend every month, and why not invest it in something that will increase in value? So we called up their online store and placed an order for some American Eagle Silver bullion coins. Later on that week, we got a Fedex with our delivery. We are now officially in the silver investing business!

In addition to gold and silver, another precious metal is also worthy of attention. I am talking about platinum specifically, and Northwest Territorial Mint has several different investment platinum coins available. The U.S. Mint produces its own American Platinum Eagle, to fit right in with its Eagle Line. Similarly, the Royal Canadian Mint produces a Platinum Maple Leaf. Other prestigious mints in the world also produce platinum bullion coins. Australia was among the first nations to produce a platinum coin with its Platinum Koala. It is perhaps the world’s most well known platinum bullion coin, and is available in fractional sizes in as little as 1/20 an ounce. A lesser known mint also produces platinum coins – The Isle of Man. These platinum coins were first minted in 1983, and are also available in fractional sizes. They say the key to investing is to have a diversified portfolio. This is also true of your precious metals holdings.
