The key to successful forex trading is always leverage. It is what speeds up a trader’s ability to profit from small investments. For example, if you choose to leverage shares most agents only allow additional trading of around 50% to 75% of the share value. So in a case where you have $100,000 worth of stock the maximum amount of additional stock you can buy would be $75,000. In the Forex market if you have $100,000 worth of currency you can get leverage of up to 100% of your margin. There is more leverage given because currencies are far more liquid then stocks. There are literally hundreds of currencies but only a few of these are traded on the Forex or FX market which is mainly concerned with seven major currencies. In simple terms forex trading is the purchase and sale of these seven currencies in pairs so that you could for example purchase Canadian Dollars by selling Australian Dollars. The principle is to purchase a currency when it is at a low price and then to sell it again once the price rises so that you make a profit. Of course this sounds easy enough but, in the real world, it is not quite as simple as that and you will need a fair amount of knowledge before you venture into the market.

The U.S. economy is currently experiencing difficult times. The federal deficit is at an all time high, growth is registering at a very slow pace, and unemployment rates have been hovering around 10% for the past two years. In addition to that bad news, the real estate market is practically dead, and the stock market has gone back and forth yielding little in the way of returns. No wonder why people are buying up gold and silver. I like to buy mine from a local source, Northwest Territorial Mint.
Since I live in Seattle, their office is just 15 minutes away down in Federal Way. Instead of buying precious metals in ETF’s or gold and silver mines, I like to actually be able to hold my investments in my hand, and store them in my safe. To me, nothing feels more secure.
